Did you know different US Federal Courts use different fonts? (See also.)

I was reminded, of course, of Butterick's Practical Typography and the time Matthew Butterick went to court regarding the definition of double-spaced.

And apparently points are a weird and inconsistent unit of measure.

But of course typesetting used to be much more labor intensive, which led to typesetting races.
